Peteris Zarins is a respected studio teacher and instructor of piano, piano pedagogy, and Music History at The Oscar Peterson School of Music, The Phil and Eli Taylor Performance Academy for Young Artists, and The Glenn Gould School. He is a frequent adjudicator, clinician, and lecturer and performs regularly as both a soloist and collaborative artist.

Peteris is a Senior Examiner, Practical and Theoretical subjects, for The Royal Conservatory Certificate Program and has served as Chief Examiner, Training and Development for The Royal Conservatory, Chair of the theory department at the Oscar Peterson School of Music, and Program Specialist for The Certificate Program in the U.S. Mr. Zarins is co-author of the three-volume music history series, Explorations.
