Professional Activities

Jennifer Rebecca Wong maintains a busy Yorkville studio where students are taught over two twenty-week semesters each academic school year. Students attend musicianship classes several times per semester where they are instructed in theoretical subjects with a strong emphasis on  analysis and solfège. Additionally they are provided with performance opportunities, ensemble coaching, and master classes. Ms. Wong also teaches intensive summer programs with varying themes from year to year.

Jennifer's principle performance teachers were James Anagnoson, Marcel Baudet, and Hakon Austbo. She studied theory with Alexander Rapoport and Karst de Jong and Schenkarian analysis with Murray Perahia and Paul Scheepers. Major influences through lessons and master classes were Murray Perahia, Leon Fleischer, Andre Laplante, Peter Feuschtwanger, and Stephan Moller.

Jennifer Wong has been adjudicating since 2004 for various festivals including Kiwanis, the World Piano Pedagogy Conference, and St. Cecil.
She has performed in several chamber and solo concerts in Holland, Belgium, and Austria, and has given composer premieres.

Currently Jennifer Rebecca Wong is conducting research in cognitive neuropsychology at the University of Toronto.
