Platinum Concerts International presents: The Sounds of Ukraine - Kyiv Chamber Choir

The internationally-renowned Kyiv Chamber Choir returns for their 3^rd concert in Toronto’s superb Koerner Hall - at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday May 26, 2019.

Kyiv Chamber Choir concerts are unlike anything else in classical music today.

Under the direction of Founder and Conductor Mikola Hobdych, the Choir presents the best of Ukrainian choral music, drawn from a tradition that extends back more than 1,000 years.

The first half of the Choir’s concert features Ukrainian classical music – composed from the middle ages to the present day – with sacred texts.  This repertoire is great choral music with compositions that are ‘hidden treasures’ to some North American audiences.

The second half presents lovely melodies from 1,000 years of Ukrainian folk music, arranged by talented contemporary composers and presented as a continuous narrative that never fails to earn an ovation for the talented  Kyiv Chamber Choir.
