Camp Parent Guide

Thank you for joining a Royal Conservatory School Day Camp! Before the start of camp, please take the time to review the following information and to fill out the General Information and Medical Form.

Location

We are located at 273 Bloor St. West. Please note that there is no on-site parking available. Parents may pull into the space in the front of the building, and drop off/pick up their children there. Alternatively, there is a Green P located on the north side of Bloor and the east side of Bedford.

Camper Check-in

On each camp day, please sign in your child in the G-wing, between 8:45 am and 9:00 am. If your child requires Early Drop-Off, please sign in your child in the G-wing at or after 8:00am. Please ensure we have your completed General Information Form on the first day of camp.

Camper Check-out

Please pick up your child at 4:00pm in the G-wing. Only individuals identified on your General Information and Medical Form will be permitted to pick up your child. Identification will be required. If your child requires Extended Care, pick up is required by 6:00pm. Please do not be late; there is a late fee of $1/minute.

IMPORTANT: Children will not be permitted to leave the building unattended, unless we receive written permission from the parent/guardian.

Late Arrival/Early Departure

Please email us at [email protected] if your child needs to be dropped off later than 9:00am or picked up before 4:00pm. When you arrive, please check in at the G-wing where sign-in and sign-out takes place.

Telephone

In case of emergency, parents/guardians may call the office at 416-408-2825 between 10am-4:30pm. We will only allow campers to make calls out in an emergency. If an emergency takes places outside the indicated hours, please call the Service Desk at 416-408-2824.

Lunch/Snacks/Water

Please bring a bagged lunch. For the safety of our campers, we ask that snacks and lunches contain NO NUTS, please. Water fountains are available on the premises. Remember to bring your water bottle!

Instruments (Suzuki strings and Band only)

Please remember to bring your instrument and cases (we will provide the pianos!). We recommend that children label their instruments to prevent mix up. Staff will ensure that instruments are safely stored when not in use.

Schedules

We will provide all campers with the schedule for the week on the first day of camp.

General Information and Medical Form

We require that all campers submit the General Information and Medical Form before their first day of camp. Once you have registered for camp the Royal Conservatory School will send you the web form link.

Our Teachers and Staff

Each of our classes has no more than 15 students, supported by a team of volunteers and staff. The student to staff ratio is, generally, 6 or 7 to one. Our instructors are professional musicians and educators throughout the GTA, and are often members of the RCM College of Examiners.

If you have any further questions or concerns, please contact the Conservatory School at [email protected].
