Daron McColl

Daron McColl

Daron McColl is an active composer, performer, bandleader, and educator in the Ottawa music community. He graduated from York University with an undergraduate degree (BFA- Honours in Music) and Masters (MA in Composition). For Daron’s Master's degree thesis he wrote a collection of chamber/jazz pieces for guitar quartet entitled Suite For 24 Strings: The Canadian Landmarks Suite. He has been a featured artist on 91.1JazzFm’s Jazzology and has performed at the Huntsville Festival of The Arts, The Toronto Undergraduate Jazz Festival, The Kensington Market Jazz Festival and The Barrie Jazz and Blues Festival. His approach to teaching is focused on developing musicianship and inspiring the next generation of musicians.
