Kevin Ahfat (2018-19 Rebanks Fellow) and Stephanie Tang (ADP ‘18) are among the 27 semi-finalists for the Concours musical international de Montréal (CMIM) – Piano 2021.  The 8 finalists will be announced on April 30, and the final results will be made available on May 14.

Sydney Baedke (soprano, 2019-20 Rebanks Fellow) played the title role in the “Brott to You” online/on-demand production of John Estacio’s Filumena, filmed by the Brott Music Festival in November 2020.

Adanya Dunn (mezzo-soprano, 2016-17 Rebanks Fellow) was one of Music Academy of the West’s 2021 Alumni Enterprise Award Winners. Adanya’s winning project is InsideOut: Pop-Up Concerts & Walking Concert Tour (Red Light Arts & Culture) - a range of indoor and outdoor, socially-distanced concerts (following a range of COVID protocols), in Amsterdam’s Red Light District.

The Canadian Opera Company appointed Amplified Opera to its newly developed “Disruptor-in-Residence” program. Co-founded by Teiya Kasahara, Marion Newman, Asitha Tennekoon (tenor, ADP ’16) and Aria Umezawa, Amplified Opera seeks to put diverse artists at the forefront of productions that resemble and address the experience of BIPOC artists.
