Dashiel Carrera is a Human-AI researcher, novelist, media artist, and musician. A PhD student in Computer Science at the University of Toronto, his research explores how different design metaphors for artificial intelligence affect arts communities. His research has taken him to the MIT Media lab and Harvard's metaLab and his media art has won awards from HackPrinceton, HackCooper, Brown Creative Arts Council and elsewhere. He is also the author of the novel The Deer (Dalkey Archive Press, 2022) and has released 6 albums on the label 75OrLessRecords.
