Jacqueline Ryz has taught piano pedagogy at the University of Manitoba. In a career spanning thirty years, her class includes piano students from beginner to university/post ARCT levels. To date Ms. Ryz has had seven students receive RCM silver or gold medals, ranging from grades 1-10.
Jacqueline studied with John Menlyk and Lorne Watson in Winnipeg and Charles Reiner in Montreal.
She has presented workshops on topics such as the "Art of Teaching" and the "Teaching of Technique."
As a member of the Canadian Music Festival Adjudicators' Association Jacqueline has adjudicated numerous festivals at all levels across Canada.
Ms. Ryz has performed as both a soloist and collabrative pianist across Canada and in Mexico. For several years she performed with duo pianist Laura Loewen. Several of her concerts have been broadcast on CBC Radio. She also regularly performs piano concerti with her students.
Jaqueline Ryz is currently on the executive of the MRMTA.
