Miriam Mahood is a graduate of the Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria (Konzertdiplom). She holds a Master of Music from the University of Alberta and a Bachelor of Music from the University of Saskatchewan. In addition, she holds an ARCT from The Royal Conservatory of Music and an Associate and Licentiate from the Western Board of Music. 

Ms. Mahood has examined throughout Canada and the USA.  She has adjudicated extensively for the Saskatchewan, Alberta, Manitoba, and British Columbia Music Festival Associations, and has been employed by such institutions as Alberta College, The Banff Centre, Universities of Alberta and Manitoba, Western Board of Music, and Winnipeg Bible College.  

For many years Ms. Mahood was the Scholarship Chair, and served on the Ball Committee of the Johann Strauss Foundation.  She has given concerts in Austria, Germany, Bangladesh, as well as in Canada and the USA. Aside from her responsibilities as Organist and Choir Director at St. Georges Anglican, Ms. Mahood runs a successful piano studio, Strathearn Music Studios, which she founded in 2006.
