Wilson Man is active as a piano and theory instructor, and often prepares students for music festivals and auditions.
Among his most influential teachers were Boyanna Toyich for piano and Dr. Anthony Dawson, William Andrews, and Joe Ringhofer for theory.

Wilson participated in master classes with Earle Moss in Hong Kong and attended lectures on stress reduction in performance.

He has adjudicated at the Kiwanis Music Festival in Windsor, the Lambton County Music Festival, and the Bluewater Performing Arts Festival in Sarnia.

Performance highlights include taking part in the Calyx Concert Series (2000 and 2001 seasons) as both soloist and accompanist and in the Toronto Sinfonietta Series (2003). In August 2003 Wilson was one of the performers in the first outdoor ten-piano monster concert held in Canada and Italy.

Wilson Man was a featured artist on the 1994 television program Accolades. Between 1995 and 2000 he was the assistant conductor and accompanist for the Mississauga Children's Show Chorus.
