Abraham Olaniyi Ogunmola

Abraham Olaniyi Ogunmola I am a passionate and certified music teacher with almost three decades of educating, entertaining, showcasing, and nurturing musical talents of all ages across the globe. I have Level 8 Piano from the Royal Conservatory of Music, Kodaly Level 1, and Orff Level 1 from Georgia State University, GA, and Boston University MA respectively. I earned Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife Nigeria and a Master of Arts in Community Music from Wilfrid Laurier University, Waterloo. An active member Ontario Registered Music Teacher, Ontario Music Educator Association member, and Ontario College of Teachers member in good standing. In 1995, I founded the Music Language Society Ile-Ife now known as Music Language Schools today. As an undergraduate at Obafemi Awolowo University, I organized and directed a concert tagged "Mozart at 5" to officially launched this music school. I enjoy teaching students (private & individual lessons) in voice, piano & rudiments. As an experienced music educator, I taught Piano, Voice, Percussion, Recorder, and Collaborative piano at American International School Lagos. As Director of Music at St. Saviour’s School Ikoyi, I organized a musical recital, talent shows, school choir, and orchestra and conducted weekly assemblies, Christmas concerts, and end-of-year musical production. I teach Classical, Gospel Jazz, African folk songs, Pop, choruses, and religious worship and praise and Hymns In 2007, As part of my service to my community, I sang tenor in the presentation of the famous “Handel Messiah” performed by the prestigious MUSON (Musical Society of Nigeria) choir during their annual MUSON festival. I single-handedly organized and directed the concert to mark Nigeria’s 50th independence Celebration tagged “God Bless Nigeria” in 2010 at MUSON Center, Lagos. As a Choir Director, my choir won first place at the MUSON Schools’ Choir competition for all schools I presented. My piano students have won first place in MUSON piano competitions (Solo and Duet categories). I prepare students as candidates for ABRSM/RCM Piano, Voice, and Theory & Rudiments examinations.
