I believe that every student is unique and have something special that he or she can bring into his or her education process. My philosophy of teaching is to help my students to express themselves and accept themselves for who they are. I am trying to be not only a music teacher, but also a friend who is guiding the student’s way to success.
During the lessons I provide, I always trying to read the student’s temperament and his or her interests. It helps me to build the trust and choose the best teaching style which would fit this individual at particular that time. I am always discussing the repertoire with the student before giving it to learn. I am providing several options to choose before I am deciding with what compositions we going further. With my teaching approach, I am doing my best to make my students understand of how music changing the people, making them better, and helping them to be happy. I believe that the greatest student’s achievement is only the result of his or her own efforts. I am encouraging them by complementing their efforts and making sure that all material is understood before student is ready to move to the next level. "You are a musician and it makes you a special human!” one of my teachers told me and I totally agree with this.
Trying not to forget that one of the functions of music is to communicate with minds by emotions. The good musician can unite a group of individuals into a same minded group by his or her music. The quality and results of musician’s achievements are mostly depend on his or her teacher. The music teacher must be creative. The important part of the music teacher’s creativity is the creation of various methods and means that allow to “reaching out” of the person’s internal reserves. During my lessons, I am trying to show students in the world of fairy-tale created themselves by music they play. During my classes, I am introducing the biography of different composers and we are listening to their compositions. With the friendly discussion, my students are telling me what instruments they heard and what they felt during the listening. This method gives them the opportunity to connect with the piece they will play, and I hope inspire them to love music even more. I believe that my methods are helping to overcome inertness in the perception of reality, learn to build hypotheses, and penetrate consciousness into the unknown. Encourage the imagination during the learning is very important. It does not matter whether the person is a composer or a scientist, architect or pastry chef, writer or fashion designer. Imagination makes a person’s thought swift and bold, allows it to penetrate through space and time, expresses itself into the most creative result.
In addition, I believe that a sense of discipline and responsibility will help to approach the high-level of success. In my teaching method, I encourage my students to participate in competitions and assessments. Also, education technological tools must be included in their education.
The philosophy of my teaching approach is based on building the trust environment with the student. Then I am trying to encourage the student to put his efforts into his or her learning by creating effort and joy balance. Also, I am providing materials and tools for his or her education. I am not teaching them, I am helping them to learn. I am getting a lot of positive feedback from my students and many of them achieved good results.
