Esther Lam studied at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, where she earned her Bachelor of Music and Master of Music in harpsichord performance under the tutelage of Corey Jamason. Ms. Lam had won her Baroque concerto competition in SFCM and been very active in the SFCM Baroque Ensemble, both as an instrumentalist and in collaboration with singers on the operatic and song repertoires. She has performed in masterclasses with Jeffrey Thomas, Kate van Orden, Antony Newman, Phantasm, and Rachel Podger. After graduating from SFCM, ms. Lam performed with several professional groups like San Francisco Bach Choir, San Francisco Renaissance Voice, and Musa. Recently, she has been focusing on music teaching and has been accompanying for many different occasions, including musical theatre works, musical casting/show, school concerts/studio classes, church events, and ceremonies in the bay area. Ms. Lam believes each student is unique in their learning style, strengths, and ambitions - regardless of their age and ability, so she would embrace their styles and nurture their musical strengths, so every student would develop their expression, imagination, and appreciation of music.
