Grace Arnott

I am a Speech Arts and Drama teacher who helps students of all ages to achieve their performance goals. I spent thirty-two years as a peace officer. As a school liaison officer I was privileged to teach prevention programs to hundreds of students from kindergarten to secondary school levels. In 2012 I was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee Medal for my work with youth. My daughter’s involvement in Speech Arts inspired me to take my own Speech Arts journey. With Debbie McGladdery as my teacher, I achieved Honours level in Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) Grade 8. I established Kaleidoscope Kids Speech and Dramatic Arts in 2013 and continue to develop myself by attending workshops and engaging in ongoing studies in Speech Arts and Drama. I encourage my students by developing their technical skills, artistic interpretation and the joy they can experience in sharing their work with others. Some of my students have achieved RCM Gold Medal Honours Distinction at both the National and Regional level and have been Provincial winners at the annual Performing Arts BC Festival. I hold small classes weekly in my home based studio located in the College Heights area of Prince George, B.C. Student instruction focuses on Festival participation, RCM Practical and Theory Exam preparation. I am an avid reader, love hanging out at Norman Lake during the summer and spending time with my dogs Scout and Piper.
