Combining my years of experience in performance and composition with classroom and private teaching, I strive to foster a positive learning environment that is both challenging and supportive for you/your child.
Guiding my own children to Harvard University, I have developed skills to motivate students of all ages to learn and succeed with music and beyond. Creating a fun relaxed music learning environment, while setting the bar high is a delicate balance. Most students do not go on to become concert pianists or performers. But the lifelong rewards in learning an instrument are immeasurable. And many of the skills acquired during lessons are transferable to academics and other important areas of child development. I keep my studio numbers relatively low in order to get to know each student as an individual.
There are many advantages to starting piano lessons early including a greater chance at developing perfect pitch. I recommend age 5 for a child's first private piano lessons. But adults can also have great musical success and enjoyment with my customized approach. I offer in person and online lessons using the latest technologies and online resources. Specialist in online, ear training, sight reading and motivating students of all ages from beginners to intermediate/advanced
