My name is Olga. I love to teach piano from my heart. It makes me so happy, when they bring high marks on RCM exams and accomplish hard tasks. I live in downtown Toronto and like to introduce my students to all kind of music on top of RCM programs. Sometimes, we are having fun playing four hands some small jazz piece to warm up before the lesson. Most of my students I "taught fro scratch", using James Bastein courses and then smoothly switch to RCM beginner and first level RCM Repertoir books. My student Ciara for instance is now study Composing music at UFT and had success in her RCM levels. I am proud of all my students and encourage them to learn more and more. These days I am taking new students, and would like to "grow them" to successful pianists. Piano teacher is more then a teacher. You should have something in common with you student. I encourage to pay attention to discipline, as it is huge thing in future of a person. You teach such thing as time management, punctuality, respect and many more, on "top of a game" to be a decent person of society . The most important thing is to be strict and have fun simultaneously. so the child wants to play more and more, and learn pretty musical pieces without pressure, but with knowledge of a schedule.
