Olivia Kang

As a singing instructor, my teaching philosophy centers around fostering a love for music, nurturing the joy of music-making, prioritizing technique, and emphasizing the importance of patience throughout the journey of vocal development. I firmly believe that music should be a source of joy and fulfillment for students of all ages, and it is my mission to instill that passion within each individual I have the privilege of teaching. Coloratura Soprano Olivia Kang is establishing herself as a singing actress in Canada. She graduated from the Digital Emerging Artist Program with Manitoba Opera in 2022. Her digital art song video, "A Lesson to a Life Journey," is available online. Kang is driven to communicate with her community and is passionate about engaging them through music and storytelling. With the generous financial assistance of the Manitoba Arts Council, she recently presented a Korean Art Song concert in Winnipeg in May 2023. Olivia's personal mission is to bring music to underserved communities in Canada, particularly rural Korean communities where access to music is limited.
