RCM’s Voice Series 2025 Edition updates repertoire to inspire next generation of vocalists
TORONTO, September 2 – The Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) proudly unveils the Voice Series 2025 Edition, a bold new collection designed to spark passion, creativity, and excellence in the next generation of singers.
More than just a set of books, the 2025 Edition is a premier resource for singers of every age and stage, blending world-class repertoire, innovative teaching tools, and artistic inspiration. With this launch, the RCM continues its long-standing commitment to shaping the future of music education — and to advancing the vital role music plays in human development, community, and culture.
Music study is more than skill-building; it develops discipline, empathy, creativity, and joy - qualities that prepare students not only for the stage, but for life. Decades of research have shown that music strengthens memory and focus, builds emotional expression, and enhances creativity. For young learners especially, music can be a lifelong companion, shaping confidence, resilience, and personal growth. The Voice Series 2025 Edition reflects this philosophy, helping vocalists find both their voice and their sense of identity through music.
Featuring over 40 new arrangements created exclusively for this series, the collection celebrates both tradition and innovation. Singers will discover beloved classics alongside an eclectic mix of fresh material, including folk songs from eleven countries and opportunities to perform in nine different languages — a reflection of the global voice of music today.
“It is vital that the RCM regularly updates their materials. Music instruction is changing and evolving. The RCM is attuned to these new trends and directions, which are often student driven, and has incorporated exciting repertoire which is diverse and fresh.”

Behind the scenes, a team of vocal experts, educators, and musicians carefully curated the series, referencing global repertoire, teacher feedback, and exam insights to create a collection that challenges, inspires, and empowers singers.
The series is further enhanced by powerful online resources, including piano accompaniments for all songs and vocalises, International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) transcriptions, and select repertoire in alternate keys to expand accessibility and choice.
"The RCM Voice Series is an indispensable resource in my teaching, providing students with a consistent framework for developing technical growth, musicianship, and artistic expression,” says Linda Fletcher, who has taught the RCM curriculum for more than 50 years. Fletcher, who contributed to both the 2019 and 2025 editions, believes the new updates will resonate with singers of all ages and levels.
The Royal Conservatory is globally recognized for its best-in-class music education resources. The Voice Series aligns seamlessly with the RCM Certificate Program, creating a clear and inspiring pathway for vocal achievement.
“As a vocalist, I know how important it is to have music that’s not only technically valuable but also inspiring to sing. This new edition embodies The Royal Conservatory’s vision: to nurture artistry, confidence, and joy in every student, while preparing the vocal leaders of tomorrow.”
