Alexia Preston was on the faculty of The Royal Conservatory from 1992 until 2008, where she taught piano, Suzuki piano, and theory. She then opened her own private piano studio in Toronto.

At The Conservatory her major influential teachers were James Anagnoson, Leslie Kinton, Leon Fleischer, Andre Laplante, and John Perry, and at McGill, Dorothy Morton, Tom Plaunt, and Kendall Taylor.

During Conservatory exam sessions Alexia has presented workshops in Montreal, Quebec and New Haven, Connecticut.

She has adjudicated Kiwanis festivals, including those in Windsor and Peterborough, Ontario.

As a performer, Alexia Preston is heard regularly as part of the duo Mezzo Piano. She is a founding member of the Davenport Chamber Ensemble, and has performed concertos with the Ottawa Valley Orchestra and the Davenport Chamber Orchestra.

Ms. Preston is currently attending Trent University, pursuing a degree in Environmental Science and Studies.
