Judianne Schoen studied with Boyanna Toyich, Boris Lysenko and Marc Durand, Leon Fleisher, John Perry, Gyorgy Sebok (Banff), and with Jacques Rouvier (Nice, France). She is a vocal and instrumental accompanist and adjudicator at festivals in Canada. A member of the Conservatory’s College of Examiners, Judianne has been on the faculty since 1992.

Specializing in piano instruction and advanced coaching (concert performance; university auditions; festival preparation, etc.), Ms. Schoen is a senior RCM Examiner, adjudicator, performer, and vocal and instrumental accompanist. Ms. Schoen's teaching method is practical, creative, composed and inspiring. She provides sophisticated methods at all levels, providing expert technical advice for effective practice and performance. Her style of teaching includes classical piano repertoire with some jazz and popular repertoire as well. One specialty is preparing senior students for grade 10, Performer's ARCT exams and university auditions, as Ms. Schoen has examined and performed at all levels. Ms. Schoen has had great success with students gaining acceptance to university music programs under her tutelage. Another specialty is preparing junior students for festivals, recitals and examinations.
