Lauren Levorson-Wong
Lauren Levorson-Wong is an accomplished music educator, performer, and arts administrator. She holds a bachelor’s degree specializing in music education and a certificate in Health Applications of Music from The University of Toronto. Lauren is a multi-disciplinary musician, having completed RCM Examinations in piano, strings, and voice; she holds an RCM provincial gold medal in Double Bass.
As a performer, Lauren has performed in prestigious venues such as The Lincoln Centre, Carnegie Hall, and Roy Thomson Hall. As an educator, Lauren has built a reputation for her advocacy for music education and the arts. She believes in creating a supportive, inclusive environment in which each student can thrive, where their individual needs and goals are honored, and where their passion for music can flourish.
Lauren is a certified Smart Start instructor, actively teaching early childhood music classes for ages 1 to 6 years at the Oscar Peterson School of Music (OPSM). From 2022 to 2024 she worked as a day camp counsellor, coordinator and choir teacher at OPSM for children ages 4 to 17. As an instructor, she has worked with Toronto Children's Chorus, Viva Youth Singers, and Skule Choir, the engineering faculty choir at the University of Toronto.
Lauren is the manager of The Rebanks Family Fellowship and International Performance Residency Program through The Glenn Gould School. Outside of teaching and performing, Lauren is pursuing a BBA and enjoys baking, reading, and scrapbooking. She continues to seek out new opportunities for learning and collaboration, always exploring ways to deepen her knowledge and share it with others.
