Soojeong Oh attained her Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance at the University of Toronto with full scholarship. Succeeding this, she graduated with her Master of Music in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from the Peabody Conservatory as the recipient of the Frances M. Wentz Turner Prize in Piano. She then completed her Graduate Performance Diploma also from the Peabody Conservatory while holding the Artistic Excellence Award Scholarship. Soojeong is an alumna of The Taylor Academy of The Royal Conservatory of Music where she began her professional musical training as a pianist and attained her ARCT diploma at the age of 14. Her most prominent mentors throughout her musical development include Dianne Werner, Marietta Orlov, Marian Hahn, and Yong-Hi Moon.

Throughout her musical career she has immersed herself in numerous performance opportunities across the globe as a soloist, collaborative pianist, and chamber musician. She has also participated in numerous programs and masterclasses with renowned artists such as Boris Berman, Jane Coop, Nelita True, Robert MacDonald, Dang Thai Son, Julian Martin, Seth Knopp, the Jupiter Quartet, and many others.

While being an accomplished pianist, Soojeong has also performed in many concert venues as a singer. She was casted in her first musical titled The Last Empress at the Meridian Hall in 2004. The following year, she was invited to KBS Hall in South Korea as a guest soloist. Soojeong has also been a part of many choirs including the Bach Children’s Chorus where she has had the opportunity to tour and perform across Canada and the United States.

Soojeong is currently an active teacher and collaborative pianist across the GTA while also serving as the pianist for the Toronto Korean Choir. She is a member of The Oscar Peterson School of Music faculty, teaching private piano lessons in the Oscar Peterson Program, founded in 2022.
