Cello: Adult Cello Group Class
Cello: Adult Cello Group Class
Course Description
Learn cello and make music with like-minded peers!
Learning an instrument, especially as an adult, can be a lonely experience. Cello Group Class offers adults a chance to share their cello learning with other players and make music with like-minded peers.
In this bi-weekly 60-minute class, students will have an opportunity to explore the cello through technique and playing repertoire. You’ll learn how to play and connect with others in the group through music.
This class will introduce students to ensemble playing by focussing on:
- blending sound together
- keeping steady tempo
- accurate rhythm and note reading
- expressing musicality within the ensemble
- exploring and executing musical ideas and phrasing together as a group
Students must provide their own cello, bow, endpin strap, and rosin.
All sheet music and arrangements will be provided by the instructor.
