Course Description
Join us this summer for the annual RCM Summer Piano Festival, presented by The Royal Conservatory’s Oscar Peterson School of Music.
Taking place at our historic downtown Toronto location, students will enjoy an inspiring program that will challenge and develop their artistry. Young pianists will study with leading piano pedagogues, including Glenn Gould School faculty, RCM examiners, and internationally renowned guest artists.

This 12-day performance program is open stuents to Intermediate and Advanced piano students playing at RCM Levels 7, 8, 9, 10, ARCT.
Students should be aged 13 - 18 as of August 31. Special accommodations may be made for students aged 11 and 12 playing at Level 10 and higher.
Students accepted into the RCM Summer Piano Festival will engage in all aspects of musical performance, as well as social and group activities, and attending performances by faculty, guest artists, and fellow students.
- Daily performance opportunities including full group performance classes and studio masterclasses
- Solo and ensemble concerts in Mazzoleni Hall
- Multiple private lessons

Each student will receive a Certificate of Participation from The Royal Conservatory of Music upon completion of this 12-day intensive.

Please note the following process:

APPLICATION: Click the button below or at the top of this page to pay application fee for the RCM Summer Piano Festival. When completing the Application you will be required to:
- upload two (2) pieces of contrasting RCM lists or time periods*
- provide RCM examination history (if applicable)
- provide previous performance and/or competition experience
- provide your current teacher's name
*Pieces may be recorded in one take or separately and submitted via YouTube unlisted links

ACCEPTANCE: Notifications of Acceptance will be emailed by April 1. Students who are accepted will be invoiced for a non-refundable deposit of 25% of the tuition fee, which is due within 14 days of acceptance (April 14).

REGISTRATION: Students who have paid the 25% deposit will be invoiced for the remaining tuition. Full payment of the tuition balance is due by May 1. Any requests to withdraw after May 1 are subject to Oscar Peterson School of Music Registration Policies.
Does tuition include accommodation or meal plans?
The cost of accommodation and food is not included in tuition. Food can be purchased from several nearby grocery stores and restaurants. A select list of local accommodations is provided below.
