Course Description
Join us in Summer 2025 for the inaugural Piano Performance Intensive, presented by The Royal Conservatory’s Oscar Peterson School of Music.
Taking place at our historic downtown Toronto location, students will enjoy an inspiring program that will challenge and develop their artistry. Young pianists will study with leading piano pedagogues, including Glenn Gould School faculty, RCM examiners, and internationally renowned guest artists.
Audition required.

All events are free to the public, and take place in Mazzoleni Hall, on the main floor of The Royal Conservatory of Music.
This 12-day performance program is open to two groups of students:
- Advanced Intensive for pianists playing at RCM Levels 9, 10, and ARCT
- Intermediate Intensive for pianists playing at RCM Levels 7 and 8
Students accepted into the Summer Piano Performance Intensive will engage in all aspects of musical performance, as well as social and group activities, and attending performances by faculty, guest artists, and fellow students.
- Daily performance opportunities including full group performance classes and studio masterclasses
- Solo, ensemble, and large group concerts in Mazzoleni Hall
- Multiple weekly private lessons
- Faculty and guest artist recitals, including joint student and faculty recitals (open to public)
- Guest artist master classes (open to public)
- Monitored practice sessions
- Technique and practice strategies workshops
- Piano Literature and theory
- Intro to Jazz Improvisation
- Musicianship
- Fugue Choir
- Piano Ensemble Practice and Coaching
- Creative video projects
- Numerous music related discussion lectures

Each student will receive a Certificate of Participation from The Royal Conservatory upon completion of this 12-day intensive.
