Brass: Youth Brass Ensemble (Ages 9-17)
Course Description
Gain valuable performance experience and improve your ensemble skills.
This is an Advanced Brass Ensemble for young students. Auditions are required. Please contact us at [email protected] or 416-408-2825 if interested.
Students will gain a more complete understanding of ensemble playing which includes intonation, dynamics, (balance among the ensemble) and rhythm. Individual instruction will be provided on an as-needed basis with to reinforce these performance aspects in the context of ensemble playing.
Youth Trumpet Ensemble will provide a different ensemble experience from The Oscar Peterson School Band Program, but students enrolled in the Band Program will be welcome to join, and vice versa.
The course culminates in an ensemble concert for friends and family.
