I am a singer-songwriter, recording artist, and multi-instrumental musician who learned how to play piano, guitar, bass, and ukulele by ear while studying Child and Youth Care at Toronto Metropolitan University. My unique learning journey started as a hobby, memorizing songs that I loved (video game music) from YouTube. This eventually evolved to learning about music theory which allowed me to improvise and easily pick out and play most popular songs by ear. While teaching English abroad in South Korea, I realized my true passion for music. I devoted countless hours to practising and studying music theory and reading notation. Returning to Canada in 2018, I quickly became a sought after teacher for piano, Ukulele, and Guitar. I was a music teacher at Hatch House Montessori school, Little Chopin Academy, Monkey Rock Music, and in 2020 I started my own private academy. I also developed an online course designed to get people jamming and creating by ear on the piano. Even students who had graduated grade 10 RCM were interested in my lessons because of my unique style and ability to improvise and create. Motivated by my students, I also have experience helping students pass RCM exams and I am currently studying for the grade 10 exams myself.
