Alexia Luscher, violin, holds both Master and Bachelor of Music degrees in performance from The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. Her teachers include Robert Gerle, Jack Ashton, Hiroko Primrose, and Deborah Moench. She studied Suzuki violin pedagogy with Cathryn S. Lee, and Music Mind Games (MMG) with creator Michiko Yurko.
Alexia taught Suzuki violin, group, and MMG for Punahou School in Honolulu, HI. She coached the Hirano string quartet as part of the school’s Chamber Music Program. She also taught co-curricular chamber music and K-1 MMG classes. Alexia co-directed annual Suzuki Rocks! Spring Workshops. She relocated to Maryland where she is teaching violin, beginning viola, and music theory. She has taught at workshops and Institutes in CA, ID, HI, MA, and Shanghai, China. In her free time she enjoys traveling, swimming, and snorkeling.
