I graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in 2021 and a Bachelor of Music Degree in Piano Performance with Distinction in 2025. I am currently working towards a Master of Music Degree in Piano Performance at the same institution under the guidance of Dr. Zhenni Li-Cohen and will graduate in 2027. In 2014, I completed the RCM ARCT in Piano Performance Diploma with First Class Honours and the highest mark in the Edmonton region. Over the years, I have participated in local, provincial, national and international competitions, including the 2014 Canadian Music Competition (CMC), where I received 4th place at the national finals in my age category. In 2024, I was awarded first place in the chamber music category at the Alberta Provincial Music Festival and second place in the chamber music category at the international finals of the IPPA Conero International Piano Competition. I was also a runner-up at the 2025 University of Alberta Concerto Competition. I have been a recipient of numerous scholarships and awards, including the Alberta Music Education Foundation (AMEF) Student Recognition Awards, ARMTA Community Service Award and the Ranald and Vera Shean Memorial Scholarship. I’m also a winner of the Edmonton Philharmonic Orchestra Scholarship and was invited to perform as a soloist with the orchestra for their spring concert in May 2024.
I have been teaching students of all ages and levels since 2014, and I prepare my students for RCM exams, competitions and music festivals. My students have consistently achieved excellent results on their RCM piano and theory exams, received numerous scholarships at the Edmonton Music and Speech Arts Festival and placed at the Alberta Provincial Music Festival.
Apart from teaching, I have been an active performer from an early age. I have extensive performing experience in both solo and collaborative settings, such as having my first solo recital at the age of 16, being a part of chamber groups of various sizes (duos, trios, quintets, sextets), and accompanying singers and vocalists for exams, competitions, music festivals, recitals, and auditions.
