With over twenty years of teaching experience, it is my goal to tailor your lessons to your age and skill, and to ignite your enthusiasm for the joy of music making.
I have worked with students of all ages from four years old to eighty plus. My teaching covers a wide range of styles, from helping students develop through the Royal Conservatory of Music program, to teaching classical, contemporary, and pop music. My home studio is in Nepean, Ottawa, but online lessons are also available.
In addition to my private studio, I am also an instructor at the University of Toronto. I have served as an adjudicator for many schools, competitions, and festivals including the National Arts Centre Orchestra Bursary Competition, the Kiwanis Music Festival, The Glenn Gould School, the University of Toronto, and the Young Artists’ Harp Seminar. Past masterclasses have included institutions such as Interlochen Arts Academy, the University of Michigan, and the University of Arizona. I have a Doctorate of Musical Arts and a Masters of Music degree from the University of Toronto. For more information please visit my website at www.angelaschwarzkopf.com.
