Anita Yu

My goal is to teach every student to the best of their ability and foster a discipline in their studies. Students are encouraged to ask questions and be curious. Understanding the mechanics of the piano and learning how to create the sound through movement and listening is fundamental to my teaching. Once they build these skills, students can grow musically as the pieces advance. I teach in a state of the art studio equipped with two grand pianos in my Nashua home, one of them a Steinway B. I have lead students to achieve first class honors with distinction in their RCM exams as well as NH State 1st place competition winners. My background is studying Pedagogy at Westminter Choir College as well as piano performance. Although some of my students have gone on to study music, most have developed a lifelong love and appreciation for music after many years with me.
