Biography of Anna Mamikonovna Tamiroghlyan
Anna Mamikonovna Tamiroghlyan, born in 1982 in Leninakan (now Gyumri, Armenia), is a distinguished Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Arts and an Associate Professor specializing in piano performance and methodology. She graduated with honors from the Gyumri branch of the Yerevan State Conservatory named after Komitas (2001–2005) under the tutelage of Honored Artist and Professor Ts. Mkhitaryan. She furthered her studies in postgraduate programs (2006–2008) in the specialty of piano.

In 2016, Anna defended her Ph.D. thesis titled "Piano in Chamber-Instrumental Works of Armenian Composers of the Second Half of the 20th Century," under the guidance of Prof. A.G. Asatryan, earning her degree from the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia. In 2021, she was conferred the academic title of Associate Professor by the Higher Attestation Commission of Armenia.

Anna's illustrious career spans numerous national and international accolades. Since 1983, she has been the laureate of 21 competitions across Europe and beyond, winning Grand Prizes in Vienna, Amsterdam, Lisbon, and Berlin. She also earned first-class laureate titles in Warsaw, Paris, Barcelona, London, and New Orleans. For her exceptional contributions to education, culture, and art, she has been honored with multiple medals, orders, and diplomas.

As a prolific author, Anna has published over 40 scientific and methodological works. Her research primarily focuses on contemporary Armenian music, analyzing the stylistic and compositional nuances of renowned composers like Arno Babajanyan, Alexander Spendiaryan, and others. Her notable works include methodological manuals on interpreting compositions and articles in esteemed international journals.

Anna has performed extensively as a soloist, chamber musician, and accompanist in Armenia, Austria, Turkey, and the United States. As an educator, she has nurtured numerous prize-winning students who have achieved recognition in international competitions.

Her dedication to the arts has been recognized in over 60 publications in domestic and international media, including the Armenian Musical Encyclopedia, AGOS, and Musical Armenia. Currently, she serves as a faculty member at the Yerevan State Conservatory, imparting her expertise to the next generation of musicians.
