Caren-Ann Jackson

Caren Jackson is an electric-acoustic Pianist, Vocalist Song-Writer, and Composer. She has performed in many musical collectives and live musical performances. At a young age, she attended the Royal Conservatory of Toronto. She continued her musical education attending University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She majored in Music Performance and Composition. These studies had intensive training in Sight Reading, Harmony, Counterpoint, Musical Notation and Theory. At UNCGreensboro, she formally studied Classical Voice. Learning European diction, arias, and performing in mass choirs and solo recitals.

Caren also attended York University with a concentration in Jazz Performance and Jazz Theory. At York, she was able to venture into Musical Improvisation; refining her sound in Voice and Piano for the stage. She later applied her musical studies into a passion of Music Education. She has worked as a Piano, Vocal, and Theory Instructor for over 18 years.

Caren is also a Visual Artist and Music Composer. She loves working with people who share a joy for music. Working with students, music enthusiasts and artists, she showcases the beauty and skill music has to offer. Caren also enjoys highlighting the ability to believe in one's own musical journey.
