Carmela Couvillon

Carmela Couvillon’s professional training has included study at Southern Methodist University where she received a Master of Music in Piano Performance and Pedagogy and was a student of acclaimed American pianist and teacher Dr. Carol Leone, and Italian pianist Alessio Bax. She received a Bachelor of Art in Music degree from Baylor University studying under the tutelage of Professor Jane Abbott-Kirk. She has studied Taubman technique with Sheila Paige, emphasizing the wellness of the hands and piano technique. Mrs. Couvillon currently teaches piano students of all ages. She is the Director of the Lux Mundi Ensemble and the Cherub Children’s Choir at St. Rita Catholic, Dallas, Texas.
