I am an active member of the Ontario Registered Music Teachers' Association (ORMTA) and I have been teaching in Ottawa, Ontario for the past 30 years. My vocal students have been very successful in their RCM's voice examinations, most of whom have achieved First Class Honours standings. My vocal students also perform in ORMTA events, i.e., First Class Honours Recitals, Canada Music Week; annual Kiwanis Music Festival; and in Laurentian Junior Music Club concerts. As a singer, I have sung roles with the Banff Centre and the Southern Alberta Opera Company (now Calgary Opera.) I have a broad concert and musical theatre repertoire; and operatic experience includes the San Francisco Merola Programme, the Canadian Opera Company and Opera Lyra Ottawa. I hold an ARCT in Vocal Performance, U. of T., an Opera Diploma from U. of T., and Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Carleton University, Ottawa. My students comprise of all ages from 12 to 87 with a concentration on preteens and teens.
