I treat each student as an individual. What is important is that what a student is studying is not too hard for them to accomplish. I am constantly watching webinars to gain more knowledge from other teachers and musicians. It is important that students set goals such as performing in the local festival or trying a conservatory exam or performing at school or church when asked but not a requirement if this creates anxiety.
