As a teacher I believe in the importance in teaching students the way they learn, curating lesson plans specific to each individual student. It's extremely important to have a strong technical and theory basis along with repertoire but also to incorporate fun/popular songs of today to help develop ear training and rhythm strengths-plus it makes it so much more fun! Having studied at the School of Music, University of Brandon for Piano Performance and teaching from my own studio, Rising Keys Airdrie Piano Studio, has helped me prepare students for exams, recitals and also those who want to play simply because it brings joy to their lives!
