I believe in a custom-tailored, multi-method approach to teaching the piano. Music education should not be a “one size fits all” situation. Some students learn faster, some students learn slower. Some students learn better by listening, some students learn better by watching. Every student is different and deserves a different approach. This is why I use multiple piano method books in my studio and use both “on bench” and “off bench” learning. My lesson planning is completely dependent on what each student needs day to day. Some days we will work on technique, some days we will work on composition, but we will always work toward your goals in a mindful manner. I teach ages 3 & up, from beginners to late intermediate/early advanced students. I also have a special interest in teaching the chronically ill, neurodivergent, and other special needs communities.
