Christie Kanska

Vocal & Piano pedagogy is one of my favorite subjects to teach. I experiment using a variety of well-known and practiced methods as well as creating my own methods and exercises finely honed over 30 years of my teaching and performing experience. I cover a rich array of topics and customize instruction to help each unique instrumentalist and artist develop their unique personality and maximize their expressive voice or piano playing quality. I love to teach singers to play piano and many of my students were inspired to become singer-songwriters like myself. Teaching music it was my calling. I prepared my first student to attend to Conservatory when I was just 16th years old. I love to share my knowledge and see the result of transformation after hard work and dedication. Music is like a religion, needs big commitment in order to achieve results. My goal as a pianist, singer, and composer, and teacher is to nurture the inherent musicality and artistry of every student while giving them the best possible foundation in all aspects of performance and musicianship.
