Dr. Christina Le Rose is a classical pianist and educator who has performed extensively throughout Europe and North America and has taught music at the university, secondary, and elementary levels. She holds a Doctor of Music degree in Piano Performance (University of Alberta), a Master of Music degree (University of Ottawa), as well as Honours Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education degrees (Brock University). She also holds Fellowship and Licentiate diplomas (Trinity College London), an Associate diploma (Royal Conservatory of Music), and a Certificate in School Management and Leadership (Harvard University). Throughout her university studies, Dr. Le Rose received over sixty scholarships and awards including funding at the provincial, national, and international levels. Some of these include the Governor General's Silver Academic Medal, Ontario Graduate Scholarships, and Canada Council for the Arts Grants. Frequently in demand as a soloist and collaborative pianist, Dr. Le Rose has concertized extensively throughout Canada. International concert performances have taken her to Austria, Germany, Italy, France, Spain, England, and the United States of America. An avid supporter of giving back to the greater community, Dr. Le Rose has used music to improve the lives of others by donating proceeds from benefit concerts to charitable organizations. Dr. Le Rose has taught music at Brock University’s Marilyn I. Walker School of Fine and Performing Arts, the Niagara Catholic District School Board, and the Niagara Symphony Orchestra Academy. She also shares her passion for music with piano and theory students of all ages and levels at her music studio in Niagara Falls, Ontario. For her professional achievements and service to society, Dr. Le Rose has received the Brock University Distinguished Alumni Award, Niagara Catholic District School Board Distinguished Alumni Award, Niagara Symphony Orchestra Award for Excellence in Music Education, City of Niagara Falls Arts and Culture Wall of Fame Award, and the Niagara 40 Under 40 Business Achievement Award.
