Christy Hung

Christy started playing the piano when she was seven and the flute when she was ten, and has fallen in love with music ever since. She has always been involved in different areas of music, including playing in ensembles (flute quartet, youth orchestra), singing in choirs, as well as competing in local and international competitions. In the past, she has partaken in a multitude of RCM exams, including the RCM Associate Diploma of the Royal Conservatory of Music (ARCT) exam. She has also completed the Young Artist Collegiate Program at the Vancouver Academy of Music, a program that trains high school students musically and where students take courses at the college level. Christy started teaching in 2020, and has taught people of various ages. Christy has received the grand prize of the Crescendo International Youth Music Competition and was the RCM National and Provincial Gold Medalist for Level 8 Flute. She is currently studying at UBC and hopes to help students find joy in music.
