Clara Chu

With over 20 years of experience in piano instruction, I am a highly qualified and accomplished piano teacher holding LTCL, ATCL, as well as multiple professional certifications, including the Canadian Music Teacher License, Alberta Music Teacher License, and Alberta Piano Association License. I conduct lessons using a grand piano, ensuring that students receive the highest quality instruction. Throughout my teaching career, I have nurtured and guided nearly 80 to 100 students, many of whom have excelled in their piano examinations and performances. My students consistently achieve outstanding results in recognized certification programs such as RCM and ABRSM, demonstrating their strong technical and musical foundation. As a pianist, I have also attained remarkable achievements in my own examinations, earning top scores and recognition for my excellence. I was awarded the First-Class Honour Certificate in Hong Kong and secured 4th place in both an international piano competition and a Hong Kong regional competition. These accomplishments reflect my deep understanding of musical artistry and technical mastery, which I strive to pass on to my students. My teaching approach is tailored to each student’s goals, whether they are learning for enjoyment, preparing for examinations, or training for competitions. With my extensive experience, advanced qualifications, and a track record of student success, I ensure that every lesson is both enriching and inspiring. If you’re looking for a dedicated and experienced piano instructor in Calgary, I would be delighted to help you achieve your musical goals.
