David Bertram

After surviving his studies at the Royal Conservatory of Music and the University of Toronto, David is still smiling! Since then, he's added more than 20 years of teaching, performing, conducting and directing experience. David is a multiple scholarship winner in both the Faculties of Music and Education at U of T. While touring he has sung bass solos locally in the Toronto area and Europe. David vocal directed many shows , too many to mention. David stage directed productions of Little Mermaid, Peter Pan, The Music Man and Beauty and the Beast. David conducted a children's chorus for ten years, toured choirs nationally and internationally, and has taught in the public school system. He has also performed in many musicals, operas and operettas, adjudicated festivals, and given vocal master classes. Currently, David teaches voice privately in his home studio prepping students of various ages for exams, auditions, shows and for their own personal enjoyment. When David needs a break from this frantic life, he and his lovely wife, Donna, retreat quietly into their country garden, nicknamed The Fortress of Solitude!
