Diana Turner

Diana's teaching practice is focused on enabling students to be artistic, well-rounded, and engaged. She took on her first piano and voice students in 2016, and instantly fell in love with teaching. As an RCM-certified teacher, each lesson is informed by her 15+ years of classical training, with level 8 qualifications from the Royal Conservatory of Music in piano, voice, and theory alongside the completion of the RCM Teaching Elementary Piano course in 2020. She constantly updates her teaching methods to meet current best practices, inspired by her ongoing studies in the Faculty of Education at the University of Alberta. Students will appreciate Diana's holistic approach which is comprehensive while taking into account student interest. Creativity is actively encouraged through regular opportunities to compose and improvise. Effective goal-setting, performance opportunities, and game-based learning keeps students engaged with their lessons and at-home practice.
