Dingshu Zhang

Teacher Sophia is now a full member of CFMTA (Canadian Federal Music Teachers Association) and ORMTA (Ontario Registered Music Teachers Association), and holds the qualifications of senior piano teacher and senior theory teacher certified by the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM). She has a solid foundation in piano performance, skilled sight-reading and accompaniment skills, and more than 20 years of front-line piano teaching experience. She has excellent professional qualities and remarkable teaching results.

Since she was 5 years old, Sophia has been receiving systematic professional piano training. She was enlightened by Professor Lv Xiuli of Shenyang Conservatory of Music, and later studied under Professor Lin Zhengang, the director of the piano department of the conservatory, laying a solid professional foundation. In college, Sophia went to Russia for further studies and studied under Professor Svetlana, a Russian pianist and judge of the children's group of the International Piano Competition. She studied in depth the European piano performance system and international advanced teaching concepts, which laid a solid and broad vision for her future teaching.

Teacher Sophia's teaching system is scientific and rigorous, and is both artistic and practical. She is good at integrating her rich stage practice experience, deep understanding of music scores and musical expression into teaching, helping students to master piano skills accurately and improve their artistic expression. She started teaching in college and during her study abroad, and has successfully trained more than 100 students, ranging from enlightenment to advanced levels. Many students have successfully passed the RCM level exams and won good results in competitions.

In terms of teaching philosophy, Sophia adheres to the "teacher-parent-student tripartite collaboration" education model, focusing on creating a positive, relaxed and efficient learning atmosphere, and is committed to tapping students' potential and stimulating their enthusiasm for learning. She has a high sense of educational responsibility and professionalism, is friendly, good at communicating and guiding students, and is deeply trusted and respected by students and parents.

　　自幼5岁起，Sophia即开始系统接受专业钢琴训练，启蒙于沈阳音乐学院吕秀丽教授，后师从该院钢琴系主任林振刚教授，打下坚实的专业基础。大学阶段，Sophia赴俄罗斯深造，师从国际钢琴比赛少儿组评委、俄罗斯籍钢琴家斯维特兰娜教授，深入研习欧洲钢琴演奏体系与国际先进教学理念，为其日后的教学奠定了坚实而广阔的视野。

　　Sophia老师的教学体系科学严谨，兼具艺术性与实用性。她善于将丰富的舞台实践经验、对乐谱的深度理解及音乐表达力有机融合进教学中，帮助学生精准掌握钢琴技巧并提升艺术表现力。自大学及留学期间起便开始执教，至今已培养百余名学生，从启蒙到高级阶段均有涉及。她的学生不仅在各类钢琴比赛中屡获佳绩，更有多人顺利通过 RCM最高级别 ARCT 考试，充分展现了其教学方法的高效与成果的权威性。

自2014年起，成为加拿大联邦音乐教师协会（CFMTA）正式会员。
自2014年起，成为安大略省注册音乐教师协会（ORMTA）注册教师。
2001–2004年，就读于沈阳师范大学期间，连续荣获“优秀学生”“文明学生”及多次奖学金，以表彰其学习成绩与综合素质的优异表现。
2003年，荣获俄罗斯伊尔库茨克国立师范大学钢琴演奏比赛一等奖。
2004年，荣获俄罗斯伊尔库茨克国立师范大学音乐教育系三年级钢琴技巧比赛一等奖。
2004年，获得俄罗斯伊尔库茨克国立师范大学“优秀作曲成就奖”，以表彰其在音乐创作方面的杰出才能及对艺术活动的积极贡献。
