Ms. Zhong is a dedicated and experienced music teacher with a strong background in piano performance and theory. She has been affiliated with the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) Certificate Program since 2016 and earned a bachelor’s degree in music from UBC in 2022. Her extensive experience encompasses guiding students through the RCM Exam, school performances, and competitions, covering a range from elementary to advanced levels, all while providing comprehensive music education within a supportive environment. Under her tutelage, the majority of her students have achieved First Class Honours with Distinction in the RCM practical and theory Exams. Recent student achievements in RCM Exam include: Level 2 piano – 96; Level 4 piano - 95; Level 6 piano - 93; Level 8 theory - 99. Some of her students have also secured prizes in events such as the Kiwanis Music Festival and Pacific Rim International Music Festival. Notably, one of her students, Emma Chen, achieved First place in the Kiwanis Music Competition in the Solo Piano Junior Graded Division for Grade 3 Baroque and 20th & 21st Century categories in 2023.
