Elaine Wong

I'm a music teacher whose goal is to inspire students to love music specializing in theory. I am a composer first, but, I also have diverse experience performing on Saxophone, Flute, and Piano at a university level. My expertise as a composer inspires me to teach students to appreciate theory and history as a way of understanding music. I aspire for my students to come away from music lessons with not only a deeper understanding of music, but of personal expression and social interactions.

My studio is located in my suburban home in a family-friendly neighbourhood. Parents are welcome to sit in during the first few lessons. My language of instruction is English but I also communicate with parents in Cantonese.

I have a BA in Music from Trinity Western University.
