Improve and refine your musical ability with the help of a professional musician at My Music Pop Studio. I offer music lessons to individuals of all ages. Students may choose to explore a variety of styles and areas of interest. Participation is encouraged in graded exam programs. Please visit www.mymusicpop.com for more information! I begun studying the piano at age 8 with Royal Conservatory of Music and later completed university music degree program and teaching program. Moreover, I taught at the prestigious institution Mount Royal University as a conservatory faculty teacher specializing in piano performance and early music childhood education. Focus is placed on the development of musicianship with emphasis on tonal development technique and repertoire. Participation in recitals, exams and festivals are also encouraged. I strive to be different and make learning more fun and individualized. I am a highly accredited and professional piano teacher teaching piano lessons and music theory. I started to study piano at the age of 8 and eventually accomplished first honors status. I studied piano with prominent teachers such as Brian Cross, Dr. Jamie Syer, and Dr. Peter Jancewicz of Calgary. I competed in musical events such as the Kiwanis and APTA Calgary festivals. Additionally, I have been placed in high rankings and have been claimed by adjudicators as a highly talented and an expressive pianist. I also taught piano performance and early childhood music education. Furthermore, I have experience teaching at music schools and studios in San Francisco, specializing in classical music and music theory to elementary students. I attend educational seminars to further my pedagogy in teaching, and I am also a member of the Music Teacher Association of California. In 2017 and 2018, I was recognized as the teacher of Royal Conservatory of Music award winners for piano performances in San Francisco. Since 2002, my students have achieved scholarships on music performances and ranking as well as honors with distinction status in performance and theory. Parent Testimony of students that are siblings in san francisco. 2022. My two boys, now 10 and 12 years old, began studying piano with Elaine around age 6. My oldest struggled in the beginning to stay attentive, but Elaine kept at it and got him to engage. I would never have imagined that six years later both of my boys would become such committed, articulate, and expressive pianists. They have received Honors with Distinction awards through The Royal Conservatory of Music and have been invited to perform at the Western regional recital, and have won a number of Bay Area piano competitions. Mostly, I'm grateful that Elaine has given them a very strong foundation in classical piano, skills that they will keep with them for a lifetime. Btw, the boys competed in the Margaret B Davis Piano competition here in Marin. Both won 1st place in their division.
