Helen F Hall

I have over 25 years’ experience as a teacher of piano, music history, music theory and aural skills and teach a wide variety of classes at the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra (VSO) School of Music. Lately I have focussed on Theory (all levels) and History as well as adult group keyboard classes. My credentials include an MA in Musicology from the University of Victoria, a BMus in Piano Performance from Acadia University and private studies in London, England, with Paul Hamburger (Guildhall School of Music), Isobel Flinn (National Opera Studio), and Louis Kentner (Menuhin School of Music). I have also worked with Dr. Teresa Dybvig and Susan Nowicki (Taubman technique), Marta Hunter (Alexander technique) and Dr. Joaquin Farias (movement therapy). I enjoy the puzzle aspect of Harmony and play Sudoku in my spare time to stay sharp.
