Ivy Ding

Ivy Ding

Ivy holds a Master of Music in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from the University of Toronto, where she studied under Dr. Midori Koga and Dr. Megan Chang. She earned her Bachelor of Music degree at the University of Toronto with Dr. Emily Chiang. Ivy has won both local and international piano competitions, and has performed across Europe, the United States, and in Toronto. She has also participated in masterclasses with acclaimed pianists such as Mariam Batsashvili, Ishay Shaer, and Edith Kraft, and has broadened her experience through chamber music and collaborative performance. Besides being an active performer, Ivy is a dedicated and experienced piano teacher. She completed two years of one-on-one and group teaching in the University of Toronto Piano Pedagogy Program (UTPPP), and has taught at various music schools across the GTA. She welcomes students of all ages and levels, and teaches in both English and Mandarin. Ivy’s lessons are engaging, well-structured, and tailored to each student’s goals—whether it’s preparing for RCM exams, music festivals, auditions, or learning for fun. Ivy focuses on building a strong technical foundation, musical expression, and confidence in every student. Ivy also provides regular performance opportunities to help students grow and shine on stage. Lessons are held at her studio near Bloor St. and Parliament.
