Jonathan Reeves M.Mus, BA (Hons)

I have been playing the guitar for over 33 years. I studied music at Canterbury Christ Church University, UK, where I was awarded a Bachelors Degree with Honors in Music and subsequently a Masters Degree in Music. Teaching, performing, and composing has been my full-time profession for over 25 years. I have taught all ages and abilities in a myriad of styles and techniques. Accumulating to hundreds of students and thousands of lessons over the decades. I perform as a solo guitarist (classical guitar and popular music arranged for solo guitar) at wineries within the Niagara peninsula for wedding ceremonies/cocktail hour during the summer. Along side teaching and performing I have a passion for composing. I compose original music from my home studio. To date I have composed and recorded over 450 songs in a myriad of genres. My music has been used as incidental music in over 70 TV shows and counting! I was privileged to have one of my compositions 'Carillon Bell Tower' performed by Dr. Andrea McCrady at the Peace Tower, on Parliament Hill in Ottawa, as part of the House of Commons Summer Live Festival 2014. As a solo artist I have recorded four albums: 'Spiral' (instrumental rock), 'Solar Dance' (finger-style acoustic), 'First Waltz (classical guitar), and 'Through the other side' (instrumental rock). Since 2018 I have been composing original music for Down The Rabbit Hole Theatre Company based in Ridgeway/Fort Erie. DTRH is a wonderful experience for kids with a passion for acting, singing, and dancing. I have had the pleasure of composing music for their musicals: The Purrfect Plot, Born To Rock, The Page Turner, and Wild West.
